Sticks
When drag flicking started to become popular players who performed the skill would spend hours and hours looking for sticks that had the biggest curve in them. This was recently noticed by stick manufacturers and to save us the trouble of sorting through hundreds of sticks and looking for bowed one, they have now started making 4 types of stick. Each stick is very different in build and characteristics from the others. Each stick also has a completely different feel and requires subtle adjustments to the way you flick and also the way you play.
In an attempt to limit the speed (and consequently the danger) of the dragflick, the International Hockey Federation has put a limit to the amount of curve a stick is allowed to have.
The first stick is the normal bow. These are the ones that have been available for years and can be bought from any Hockey retailer. The sticks are not specialist at all and it is a good idea to compare 5-10 to see which one has the greater bow. Each one is slightly different.
